I bought these for a 19 inch Gotz doll.  Sometimes I get lucky with shoes, sometimes not so much.  I thought the strap moved from the top of the shoe (like a slingback) and learned it's stitched down (my fault).  I will give these to my great niece for her American Girl doll.  Maybe they will stay on an American Girl doll's foot better.
