Here's what's included:
  • The CASE is just over 8.5 inches long, almost 4 inches wide at the wide end, just a hair over 2 inches at the small end, about 2 inches thick. The case is just like the case for a real instrument! It has black vinyl on the outside. It is so realistic---adorable! Inside the case you see a lovely red velvet lining.
  • The CELLO itself is a hair over 8 inches long (without the little wooden stand in its hole. It is about 1/2 inch additional length). The body is almost 3 inches wide at the wide end, the head of the neck is 1-3/8 wide including the keys, the strings are metal/wire and the body is one inch thick. The bridge stands up almost 1/2-inch.The cello itself is a hair over 8 inches long (without the little wooden stand in its hole. It is about 1/2 inches additional length).

  • The BOW is 8-1/4 inches long and about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Black lacquered wooden stand.

This item makes a nice gift to anyone who plays the real thing! My husband, Richard, (our shipping maestro) learned to play cello when he was in elementary school. He says it was interesting taking it on the school bus because it was almost as big as he was!

This cello is about 9 inches tall, put together. The pegs really turn to "tune" the strings.

Be careful: there is a seller out there with a cello that does not come with a case.

Of course, this cello is not musical. That requires size and special strings!
