BLACK HORSE OR FOAL FOR YOUR DOLL-- If you and your American Girl doll love horses, you will love this pretty guy. The horse sold by Mattel / American Girl is just covered with velvet fuzz like many doll hats. The fuzz doesn't last over time. This horse is covered with fur (goat, which is hypoallergenic). The mane and tail are strong and nice to brush!

This foal stands 12 inches high and is 13 inches from nose to tail. A nice size to play with and doesn't take up the space of a larger horse.

*A word about goat fur: We don't like to think of it, either, but we must understand goat skins are a commodity just like cow leather. Goat is a common meat in many countries and the skins are a byproduct of that food industry.
