WOOD TULIP IN POT--When we were in Holland we fell in lovv with the wooden tulips! With this item you are going to need to get a little creative. Very little! It is sososo pretty in the dollhouse when it is finished! And you can decorate the unbreakable pot, too, before or after you glue your tulip in place.

The tulip is made of wood--this one is dark purple--and they come in assorted colors, so the one you receive will probably be another color. We have pink, hot pink, orange, yellow, red, purple. The pot is made of very, very thick paper pulp and nice quality. Finished product height is about 4-1/2 inches tall. The tulip itself is about 1-1/4 inch. There is also a big green leaf on each stem.

You will receive the two parts, then you need to plant it. Here's what I did: I got some rice from the kitchen (the weight of it helps), about 1/4 cup, then I poured in a lot of white Elmer's glue, at least two teaspoons. It slides down into the rice and sticks it all together. Put the tulip in, then put it on a shelf to dry overnight in just the right position. Then be careful not to touch it at this point. Patience! You could use brown paint on the tips of a brush to make the ground look brown. And you could put something on top of the rice, like real dirt or coffee grounds, just a teaspoon or so.

You can make it with coffee grounds, or coffee beans, instead of rice. Or use mostly rice (for weight) with coffee grounds on top of that.
