MINI MOLCAJETE --This hispanic version of the mortar-and-pestle is used to make guacamole, primarily, today. Josefina would have used it to grind several different things like grains, beans, and fruits for jams. It is a very handy tool in the Southwestern kitchen!

We have carried this item before. It is incredibly hard to get and they go quickly. If you have a Josefina display you need to add this item to your setting. Believe me, it is PERFECT! And that recommendation comes from a lady who really knows her doll accessories!

This molcajete (and the grinder is called the 'tejolote') looks like it is made of real basalt, the traditional material used to make them. It is black with white spots that vary from item to item.

Dimensions are 3-1/4 x 3 inch diameter and 1-3/4 tall for the bowl and 1-1/4 x 3/4 for the tejolote.
