When I was a little girl I saved my money and bought a set of mini tools at the Natural History museum gift shop in the town where I grew up. They had all sorts of wonderful dioramas, miniature historical scenes, on display depicting the history of the American Southwest. I used to get lost in them! I was always crazy for miniatures. Those were the days when it was safe for my mother to drop me off and leave me at the museum for a few hours while she ran errands. They would never allow parents to do that sort of thing these days. I wonder if they are still on exhibit. Anna Claire made a couple of adorable dioramas for school projects, one of cave men (the fake fur animal skins were so cute) and another of an Egyptian tomb inside a cardboard pyramid. She got A's, of course! Piper's play-doh model of the human ear was a real show-stopper that the teachers talked about for years after she made it. Proud mama-me-a!
