MINI HOPE CHEST--Girls used to make and save things for years in a chest. These things were for her house when she grew up and got married. In the days before all the stores we have now, everything with fabric on it was handmade. There weren't even sewing machines until 1851. It was a long time before everyday people had them. Imagine! It took soooooo long to make anything!

You can use it as a great place to store small American Girl or Bitty Baby doll items that pile up. It is a quality miniaturized version of a real blanket box or chest. Nice at the foot of the bed. We all thought it was black when we received it but the photo looked brown so Betsy went back to look at it in strong light. It is a very dark brown.

You might want to add a chain to this box to help protect the hinges. This is a great item for the person who wants to paint and personalize it.

Overall dimensions are 7 X 12-1/2 X 7. Other items can easily be shipped inside.
