This red fox is just a great size for your American Girl doll to love! About 7 inches long plus tail. S/he has cute pointed ears that are black on the outside and white inside.

We moved to Virginia a few years ago and began seeing foxes once in a while because they live wild around here! And we hear one barking at night! There were four fox babies last spring in the woods near our house. They were so cute when they wandered nearby and played together on a grassy area near! Their mother was permanently handicapped by a run-in with a car a couple of years ago. She limps along on three legs now. That's her picture (the second picture, taken by Richard from the car). Our neighbors told us they have watched her for years! Then we watched her play with a big black snake, about 3 feet long, one day until she wore it out and finally ate it! We chose to move to Virginia because of the lovely woods scattered all around. Betsy looked forward to visiting them BUT, after we got here we learned she is NASTY allergic to several things in those local woods so she can't go near them. Boo hoo! She loves to watch them from the car as we drive by.
