When I was a little girl my favorite book was titled, "Mud Pies and Other Recipes." It told how to make all sorts of things (not really edible, of course) for my doll friends to eat, like salads that included pine needles and leaves. I had a place up under a huge fig tree where I played for hours and hours with my play kitchen items. I had (and still have) a wonderful plastic child-sized breakfront with special drawers and loads of dishes and bakeware. Our little girls played with it, too, when they were little. What fantastic memories.
