This is the same silverware, PLUS a storage basket, that came originally with Samantha's Lemonade Set from Pleasant Company. Now Mattel has changed the pattern slightly and sells larger silverware which I think is much too large for the dolls-- BUT you will only get two place settings from that source. Fits American Girl and other popular 18 inch girl dolls much better than the items from Mattel do now.

I am so excited to be able to offer you this wonderful new book! I met the writers several months ago. I have been buying tea from one of them for about 15 years. The writing team for this new book is amazing. An etiquette expert, a Master Tea Blender and Bon Appetit Food Artisan, and an author of ten other books on tea and tea rooms.
Inside the book (8 x 9-1/2 inches) you will find the story of Harry and Kate, two kids who are invited to a tea party with their grandparents. First they have an etiquette lesson with Mrs. Johnson, then they attend the party. The story includes bits of tea history as they are given by a speaker at the party.
This book will make a nice read-aloud story for those too young to read the story, and a nice book for older tea party girls. After the story, you will find ten recipes for yummy favorites to go with your own tea party!

Many, many people have asked me to sell two of the drink items together so they can expand their setting for more dolls. So, here they are! They are made by the same manufacturer Pleasant Company used before it sold out to Mattel in the 1990's. The set for two sold for $68 plus shipping from Mattel/American Girl. Truthfully, I bought this tea set in for you because of the silverware. It is what I think is the exact right size for the American Girl's hand. However, the American Girl doll characters are supposed to be 9-year-old girls, so larger silverware might actually look more to-scale than this does.
