Historical - Colonial (Kaya, Felicity, and Elizabeth)

This is the Felicity brass chamberstick that was sold by Pleasant Company, the American Girls Collection, before the days of Mattel. This item is no longer sold by Mattel. It is no longer made. You get a BRAND NEW solid brass chamberstick plus my own translucent "candle" with this purchase. My apologies that the candle is not in the photo.

I never recommend allowing a child to even pretend with a real piece of candle. It is too much of a temptation and could invite a terrible emergency.

Dimensions are 1-3/4 diameter plus 1 inch handle x 1-1/2 inches tall. The "candle" is 2 inches long before it is inserted into the chamberstick.

Made especially to fit American Girl and other popular 18 inch girl dolls.   Prettier than Elizabeth's Coral Pink gown. 

• Pink linen-look dress has double front with pink-and-white striped underbodice and front underskirt with a layer of pretty eyelet for the overskirt.  The dress outer front is made of the heavy pink linen-look fabric trimmed with ivory french gimp braid.  Burgundy satin bow at front neckline.  Sleeves have white ruffle at the elbow.
• White mob cap has burgundy satin ribbon around and a bow on top.  Elastic across the back neck holds it in place.

• Floor-length lavender dress with sprigs of flowers scattered around.  Square neckline and elbow-length sleeves with NO lace (a manufacturer change).  3 "grow pleats" so the dress will continue to fit her as she grows taller!
• White mob cap with and lavender satin ribbon bow--does not fit around entire head. Fits over hair made into a knot bun.
  

This outfit will also fit Bitty Baby because her body is the same size as the girl dolls.  The difference is in the length of her legs, so skirts will be longer on Bitty Baby.

Doesn't Elizabeth look adorable in her nightgown set?!  It looks very much like the set sold by Mattel/American Girl for Elizabeth, Felicity's friend in Colonial Williamsburg in 1775.  This set comes from another maker.

This will be an adorable set for Bitty Baby also.  The baby and girl dolls have the same sized bodies.  The difference is in the length of the legs.  So this set will fit Bitty Baby and then the girl doll when your little girl gets older and adds an American Girl doll to her collection. 

When my 3 daughters were little, I held back some small parts so they would not lose them.  Then I was able to give them as a separate gift when the girl got older and was more responsible with her little things.  So now they have all the little pieces and parts of their doll outfits.

The dress has heavyweight fabric with white background and sprays of blue flowers.  The bodice comes to a point in front and has a squared neckline.  The sleeves end at the elbows with double organza ruffles, and the same ruffles are found at the bottom of the floor-length skirt.

This the real nightgown style for Felicity! Others are selling Elizabeth's nightgown for Felicity.

This set is made with loving attention to detail.  the neckline gathers with its ribbon tie and has gathered lace edging (so it is gathered twice when you tie the neck).  The same lace decorates the sleeve edges which have elastic gathers to make it easier for the girl.  The cap is lovely with gathered back (elastic at neckline edge and a nice ruffle all around the outer edge of the long flaps (called lappets) and a ribbon that tie under the chin with the added ribbon.

In colonial times, the night "shift" was worn under the day dress so it acted like both a blouse and a slip.

Made especially to fit American Girl and other popular 18 inch girl dolls, and especially Elizabeth!  Pretty grayblue gown has V waistline in front with attached embroidered lace apron trimmed with pale pink satin ribbon.  The cap is made to match of the same laces.  Lace ruffles and ribbons are also found at the elbow-length sleeves.  A separate white collar closes with a hook-and-eye and is adorned with a pink flower. 

Matching grayblue shoes come with and are trimmed with pink ribbon roses.

Made especially to fit American Girl and other popular 18 inch girl dolls.   Perfect for Felicity.  Made of fine quality wool with attached satin inset stomacher.  Trimmed with silver embroidery, silver buttons and silver braid.  Skirt is separate from top/jacket. 

Hat is no longer include in this outfit (supplier change). I have a dark green velvet round hat that is similar (no gold braid trim), available in my store, sold separately. This outfit looks great with either the black riding boots or the black harness boots which are also available in my store!
