The metal body of the lantern is painted yellow. There are glass inserts on each of three sides. Inside is a realistic-looking candle. It does not have a door to open and it does not light.

This is the Felicity brass chamberstick that was sold by Pleasant Company, the American Girls Collection, before the days of Mattel. This item is no longer sold by Mattel. It is no longer made. You get a BRAND NEW solid brass chamberstick plus my own translucent "candle" with this purchase. My apologies that the candle is not in the photo.

I never recommend allowing a child to even pretend with a real piece of candle. It is too much of a temptation and could invite a terrible emergency.

Dimensions are 1-3/4 diameter plus 1 inch handle x 1-1/2 inches tall. The "candle" is 2 inches long before it is inserted into the chamberstick.
