MANDOLIN--Whenever we go to hear Bluegrass music (melike!) there is someone who plays the mandolin. We have learned there are lots of different kinds of mandolins from all over the world.

This mandolin is an Asian version. It has pretty flowers and leaves on the front, behind the strings. The neck has ridges instead of frets. There is a pretty tassel that hangs from it. You can sort-of see it in the picture. It is orange and white.

The mandolin is 6 inches long. Well-proportioned for the American Girl doll's hand, as you can see. There really isn't a case. it comes in a clear plastic box.
